How is this better than just charging my phone in my car?

It’s about being prepared for anything. If you had to evacuate, hopefully you would have access to charging your phone, but you just don’t know. The 5-in-1 charges your phone no matter what happens or where you end up going.

How does the panic button [one-touch alert+siren] work?

Think of the panic button as a way to notify the people you love. Push notifications are set up through the BodyGuardz app to anyone you want to receive an alert. When you push the red button on top of the device, a 90 db siren goes off and your list of people will be notified.

How does the 5-in-1 work when I don't have a cell signal?

During a disaster, cell service may go down or get overloaded. With either a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection, you can still get updates on what is happening through the weather/civil notifications and the FM radio on the 5-in-1 Emergency Hub.

How do I connect the 5-in-1 to Google Assistant?

Go to the Google Home app. Click the + sign in the upper left corner of the app. Next, click on “Set up a device,” then select “Works with Google option.” Search and click on BGZ Smart Life-Smart Home. Then, follow the directions.

How does the 5-in-1 work when my wifi isn't working?

If Wi-Fi is unavailable, the 5-in-1 will automatically connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth. You will still be able to control the FM radio and night light through the app. Plus, as long as you have an LTE connection, emergency alerts will be sent to your phone with a push notification. You can also still control the flashlight, night light, and emergency siren with buttons on the device.

Does the panic button contact the police?

The alert system will only send SMS messages to the contacts you have listed in the app. The audible alarm will notify anyone within your vicinity.

What kinds of alerts will I get with this device?

The 5-in-1 will notify you with alerts for over 28 weather or civil events specific to your area. Alerts can include information about nearby weather, fires, law enforcement warnings, floods, etc.

How loud is the siren (90 db)?

The audible alarm is 90db and will draw attention from those nearby in an emergency situation.

Are there any other colors?

The 5-in-1 is only offered in gray.
